In August 2020, the kiln's walls were coated with Emisshield Ceramic fiber coating, resulting in a 6% reduction in gas consumption.

“The weighted average we have got as a result of our analysis is 5.55% improvement in the post-coating period compared to the pre-coating period.”

In July 2022 walls and ceiling were coated with an increased production of 4% and energy savings of 6%.

Emisshield® was able to provide increased uniformity in heat distribution and after optimization of the kiln energy savings of 7,5% were sustainably documented.

Applied in February 2022. Flue gas was reduced. Burner settings were adjusted (gas reduced). Currently an overall savings of about 6% in energy consumption were achieved.

Together with Cress, Creaton revised all kiln data and recognized that exhaust temperature increased up to 50°C. Current energy savings are reported between 3,5% and 6% depending on format

Due to better temperature distribution in the furnace, the next to the bottom cassettes on the kiln car could be loaded again with roof tiles which gave an 8% increase in production.

Flue gas draught has been reduced by approx. 50%, burners operate with less gas pressure, flue gas temperature is currently still too high and ceiling is too hot outside.
