11.5% reduction in fuel consumption for a 40-hour schedule when both the barrel and working lining were replaced.

Swarf Door

By applying Emisshield to the ceramic fiber of the Swarf Door, the plant was able to extend the life of the door to ten weeks of production, an increase of about 3X.

Emisshield® was able to provide increased uniformity in heat distribution and energy savings of 3,1% were sustainably documented. The gas consumption for 2024 includes the startup phase and recipe adjustments.

Heat loss reduction: there was a saving of 12°C temperature increase in the

hot metal temperature in the Emisshield coated furnace#2 along with the 9.3

MT higher metal charge compared to the uncoated Furnace#1.

8-10% energy savings

The heat-up time was improved by 6 hours to bring the ingots to 600°C. Temperature of the outside walls and exterior decreased an average of 25°C, measured by a thermograph at regular intervals.
